Introduction to Biosecurity

A 4-Week Online Course

This course provides an introduction to biosecurity, exploring the risks of future pandemics and the impact of emerging technologies like AI. You'll learn about a range of interventions to prevent, detect, and respond to pandemics, as well as about steps you can take to get more involved in this important field.Each week includes approximately 1.5 hours of readings followed by a 1.5-hour facilitated discussion session. The July 2025 syllabus can be found linked below, and can be used as a reading list while no course is running.The initial online version ran 7th July - 3rd August 2025.
